Located on a compact site and situated between a new high school and residential neighborhoods, this facility focuses inward to provide a refuge for the students and faculty. Based on the theme of a “little red school house”, the campus is a friendly and inviting environment. The 73,000 square foot facility houses 750 students. Each of the academic wings is tailored to the specific needs of it’s user. Music and computer labs are conveniently placed along major corridors, and the administration, cafeteria, and library are situated for easy access by students, faculty and parents during day and night use. As a project team member, I was responsible for this project through the construction documentation phase. The initial concept was by Mario Garza.
